Signal Name | Description | Condition | Impact |
---|---|---|---|
Initial test/check for ASIC supply parts failed.
Defect or deviation of ASIC configuration on software and hardware side. Test checks if the voltage regulator configuration of the ASIC matches the software configuration.
System will be running in fully degraded state. Braking may require increased effort. Hydraulic Boost Compensation will be triggered when driver pressed brake pedal.
U5V voltage comparator test failed.
Defect of ASIC, Test starts and evalutes the ASIC internal test of the U5V voltage regulator.
System will be running in fully degraded state. Braking may require increased effort. Hydraulic Boost Compensation will be triggered when driver pressed brake pedal.
U5V is out of range.
Problem of ASIC reset logic. Monitoring of U5V (internal 5V supply for sensors and communication) out of range bits provided by the ASIC. If U5V is out of range a reset should be issued for the ASIC.
System will be running in fully degraded state. Braking may require increased effort. Hydraulic Boost Compensation will be triggered when driver pressed brake pedal.
Brake boosting capability is lost in DPB system.
Plunger Separation Valve or Plunger Overshoot Valve inoperable (aka huge leakage rate present in plunger circuit) OR no brake fluid OR wrong plunger configuration (as held in EEPROM), Fault is raised if Active System Tests (component STS) detect a latent fault that might jeopardize the hydraulic backup functionality. The first occurence of the fault may only be detected right after the start of a new OtherCycle, when in full hydraulic system and at earliest if any brake event has been absent since the start of a new OtherCycle. The system reaction to the presence of the fault is DPB Hydraulic Backup (without brake boost).
System will request Hydraulic Boost Compensation when driver pressed the brake pedal.
RAM alert.
Uncorrectable RAM ECC fault2. Limit of RAM ECC correctable bit faults exceeded.
System will be running in fully degraded state. Braking may require increased effort. Hydraulic Boost Compensation will be triggered when driver pressed brake pedal.
An excessive number of ECU resets has occurred in a row during actuator initialization (before IPC completion).
High electric resistance in the IPB power supply. Either due to a weak battery or due to corrosion of the supply cable. The alert is set if several ECU resets in a row have occurred before the initial actuator tests could finish.
System will be running in fully degraded state. Braking may require increased effort. Hydraulic Boost Compensation will be triggered when driver pressed brake pedal.
Plunger was not parked at its sleeping position at the previous postrun.
The alert is frequently logged during brake system and vehicle production. The alert is set if the NVM item that stores information about the plunger position at the previous shutdown is empty or indicates that the plunger was at an unknown position.
System will be running with full assistant for driver brake request.
ECU woke up repeatedly with ignition off. This hints at issues with vehicle-specific wake-up sources (e.g. door contact).
There was an excessive number of consecutive power cycles in which the ECU was woken up and went to sleep without that ignition was on.
System will be running with full assistant for driver brake request.
