Signal Name Description Condition Impact
The battery management system (BMS) has detected that a brick is reporting a voltage above the maximum acceptable cell voltage.
A brick reports a voltage above the maximum acceptable cell voltage.
Inability to charge, drive, or support the low voltage (LV) system
The battery management system (BMS) detects a temperature imbalance between high voltage (HV) battery modules.
The BMS detects a high temperature difference between the hottest and coldest modules, diverging temperatures while the vehicle is awake, or diverging temperatures while the vehicle is sleeping. Alert log signal data provides the temperatures that triggered the alert.
Inability to charge, drive, or the support low voltage (LV) system
The complex programmable logic device (CPLD) detects a condition where it cannot go to sleep but is told to do so. The CPLD cannot go to sleep when pack contactors are closed, the high voltage interlock loop (HVIL) is on, or there is a no-sleep condition.
The CPLD bit HW_Sleep_Attempt is asserted.
This alert is primarily informational and is used for logging purposes.
The battery management system (BMS) detects that there are system faults and prevents the pack contactors from closing.
The complex programmable logic device (CPLD) detects a condition that prevents pack contactors from closing. Alert log signal data provides information on the specific condition(s) detected
Inability to charge, drive, or support the low voltage (LV) system
There is an issue with the negative contactor drive circuit. This alert may indicate an open pack contactor drive circuit, a falsely closed pack contactor loop, an increase in the pack contactor coil current during economized operation, or that a pack contactor has popped open during operation.
The battery management system (BMS) detects unexpected current through the negative contactor drive circuit.
Inability to charge, drive, or support the low voltage (LV) system
There is an issue with the positive contactor drive circuit. This alert may indicate an open contactor drive circuit, a falsely closed contactor loop, an increase in the contactor coil current during economized operation, or that a contactor has popped open during operation.
The battery management system (BMS) detects unexpected current through the positive contactor drive circuit.
Inability to charge, drive, or support the low voltage (LV) system
There is a hardware problem with the high voltage interlock loop (HVIL).

Inability to charge, drive, or support the low voltage (LV) system
The battery management system (BMS) detects unexpected voltage on the contactor service bypass pin.
The BMS detects that the contactor service bypass pin is asserted when it should not be.
Inability to charge, drive, or support the low voltage (LV) system
The battery management system (BMS) has detected that one or more of the battery modules has reported an alert. This alert may be set falsely at extremely low LV battery voltages.
The BMS detects that one or more of the battery modules is reporting an alert.
Inability to charge, drive, or support the low voltage (LV) system
The battery management system (BMS) has detected that the pack voltage is too high.
The BMS detects that pack voltage is above the acceptable threshold.
Inability to charge, drive, or support the low voltage (LV) system
The battery management system (BMS) has detected that the high voltage (HV) battery pack current exceeds the hardware overcurrent threshold.
The BMS detects that the pack current exceeds the hardware overcurrent threshold.
Inability to charge, drive, or support the low voltage (LV) system
