Signal Name Description Condition Impact
Pedal Monitor Warning: PMREL CAN node is missing.
The safety monitor sets this condition when CAN communication from PMREL is considered irrational or missing.
PM system is unable to determine PMREL state.
Pedal Monitor Warning: PMRE1L CAN node is missing.
The safety monitor sets this condition when CAN communication from PMRE1L is considered irrational or missing.
PM system is unable to determine PMRE1L state.
Pedal Monitor Warning: PMR CAN node is missing.
The safety monitor sets this condition when CAN communication from PMR is considered irrational or missing.
PM system is unable to determine PMR state.
Pedal Monitor Warning: PMF CAN node is missing.
The safety monitor sets this condition when CAN communication from PMF is considered irrational or missing.
PM system is unable to determine PMF state.
Pedal Monitor Warning: PPB CAN node MIA.
PM is not receiving required feedback CAN messages from PPB
Unable to monitor PPB state
Pedal Monitor Warning: Torque Intervention.
The safety monitor sets this condition and indicates diagnostic information in its payload for root cause analysis.
The safety monitor will inhibit torque and excess heat production for the remainder of the drive cycle.
Pedal Monitor Fault: Torque Command Qualifier set to faulted.
The safety monitor sets this condition torque production error is detected
The safety monitor will disable innhibit torque production for the remainder of the drive cycle.
Pedal Monitor Warning: ECC Protection anamoly detected.
This condition is set when ECC protection detected a flash fetch or RAM read error, intended to be a diagonstic alert only.
No immediate impact.
Pedal Monitor Warning: DI and PM versions do not match.
This condition is set when the inter-process communication version between DI and PM is mismatched.
Prevents DI ECU from booting, presents itself as a complete inhibition of drive unit capability.
Pedal Monitor Warning: One Pedal Driving module inhibited.
The safety monitor sets this condition when torque production error is detected while One Pedal Driving module is active.
The safety monitor will disable the One Pedal Driving module for the remainder of the drive cycle.
Pedal Monitor Warning: PTC CAN node is missing.
The safety monitor sets this condition when CAN communication from PTC is considered irrational or missing.
PTC is considered not communicating on CAN for remainder of drive cycle.
Pedal Monitor Warning: CMP CAN node is missing.
The safety monitor sets this condition when CAN communication from CMP is considered irrational or missing.
CMP is considered not communicating on CAN for remainder of drive cycle.
Pedal Monitor Warning: CAN hardware error.
This condiiton is set when CAN peripheral hardware indicates an overrun or transmission error on the secondary CAN bus.
No immediate impact, may lead to indicating an MIA condition for the specific CAN ID listed in alert payload.
Pedal Monitor Warning: UI CAN node is missing.
The safety monitor sets this condition when CAN communication from UI is considered irrational or missing.
UI is considered not communicating on CAN for remainder of drive cycle.
The Pedal Monitor (PM) detects an unintended processor reset. This alert is intended for logging purposes and does not on its own indicate a symptom or root cause.
The PM detects a processor exception.
This alert is primarily informational and is used for logging purposes.
One or more of the messages the Propulsion Monitor (PM) Electronic Control Unit (ECU) receives periodically from the Decoupled Power Brake (DPB) ECU is not received, indicating the DPB ECU may be unavailable (MIA).
One or more of the expected messages from the DPB ECU is not received.
There is no communication between the DPB and DI ECUs. This may impact traction and vehicle dynamics control performance. The vehicle should be driven with extreme caution if the traction or vehicle dynamics control systems are faulted.
Pedal Monitor Warning: Phase Current Irrational.
The safety monitor sets this condition when phase current sensor measurements are irrational or out of bounds.
The safety monitor will initiate a unit limp condition for the remainder of the drive cycle.
Pedal Monitor Warning: DI CAN node is missing.
The safety monitor sets this condition when CAN communication from DI is considered irrational or missing.
DI is considered not communicating on CAN for remainder of drive cycle.
Pedal Monitor Warning: Torque Detected in non-torque producing gear.
The safety monitor sets this condition torque production error is detected.
The safety monitor will inhibit torque and excess heat production for the remainder of the drive cycle.
Pedal Monitor Warning: Deceleration Torque.
The safety monitor sets this condition torque production error is detected.
The safety monitor will inhibit torque and excess heat production for the remainder of the drive cycle.
