Signal Name Description Condition Impact
One or more of the messages the vehicle controller receives periodically from the rear right drive inverter (DIRER) is not received, indicating the DIRER may be unavailable (MIA).
One or more of the expected messages from the DIRER is not received.
Vehicle speed and power may be limited.
One or more of the messages the vehicle controller receives periodically from the rear left drive inverter (DIREL) is not received, indicating the DIREL may be unavailable (MIA).
One or more of the expected messages from the DIREL is not received.
Vehicle speed and power may be limited.
One or more of the messages the vehicle controller receives periodically from the Primary Electric Power Steering (PEPS) electronic control unit (ECU) is not received, indicating the PEPS ECU may be unavailable (MIA).
One or more of the expected messages from the PEPS ECU is not received.
Power steering may be limited or unavailable.
One or more of the messages the vehicle controller receives periodically from the Secondary Electric Power Steering (SEPS) electronic control unit (ECU) is not received, indicating the SEPS ECU may be unavailable (MIA).
One or more of the expected messages from the SEPS ECU is not received.
Power steering may be limited or unavailable.
The primary motor position sensor has been deemed invalid.
The motor position sensor signals have failed a safety check.
The motor is disqualified and rack control health is degraded.
Steering system may be reducing power and functionality to prevent overheating, due to higher than nominal system temperature detected
When part of steering system is detected to be close to its overheating limit
Torque output may be reduced, and steering system may have reduced performance
Motor is not calibrated
On startup, Electronic Power Steering (EPS) detects motor calibration is incomplete
Motor torque may not be generated
Motor position sensor is not calibrated
On startup, Electronic Power Steering (EPS) detects motor position sensor calibration is incomplete
Motor torque may not be generated
The radar sensor is blocked, possibly due to environmental factors such as snow, ice, or dirt. There may also be something causing interference between the radar and the secondary surface (fascia), such as the harness being in front of the radar.
The radar has detected a blockage of its sensor / antenna.
Radar functions are disabled and Autopilot features will be disabled.
A condition prevents successful CANRX (CAN message received) for the vehicle state message, relating to a checksum, a counter, or an out-of-bounds signal value.
The vehicle state message sent from the driver assistance system (DAS) Electronic Control Unit (ECU) to the radar controller (RADC) ECU is not as expected / as required for the radar to be enabled.
Radar function will be disabled.
The steering monitor detected an error affecting its calibration
One or more modules not calibrated or calibration values do not match controller values
Loss of steering redundancy
The radar circuit (RADC) has detected a condition with the analog / digital converters (ADC). RADC may not operate as expected.
RADC detects a condition with the ADC.
The RADC might not operate as expected and may compromise radar-based functionalities on the vehicle.
ECU internal fault - DSP Error, replace sensor
N/A.
Radar functions will be disabled.
Pedal Monitor Fault: Phase Current Irrational.
-
Pedal Monitor Fault: DI CAN node is missing.
-
Pedal Monitor Fault: ABS CAN node is missing.
-
Pedal Monitor Fault: Reset from watchdog timeout.
-
The PPB has seen a mismatch on the two expected LV inputs on CAN.
VC_ppb1LVState & VC_ppb2LVState signals used to communicate PPB LV Status are mismatched
PPB may be turned on even though one of the LV signals says its turned off
Pedal Monitor Fault: PM Gear Mismatch
-
Pedal Monitor Fault: Torque Detected in non-torque producing gear
