Signal Name Description Condition Impact
Alert indicating that there has been a communication issue related to the sensor.
When the communication error bit is set by the sensor
Sensor function will be impaired, park assist features will be disabled.
UMC vehicle connector exceeded temperature threshold.
UMC vehicle connector (charge handle) temperature has risen above 75 C
UMC will not allow charging until the charge handle cools sufficiently
UMC input terminals (UMC side of smart adapter connection) exceeded temperature threshold.
UMC input terminal temperature has exceeded 95 C
UMC will not allow charging until input terminals cool sufficiently
UMC wall plug (smart adapter) exceeded temperature threshold.
UMC smart adapter temperature exceeded 75 C or the smart adapter specific rating if present
UMC will not allow charging until the smart adapter temperature has fallen sufficiently
UMC proximity line disconnected or vehicle is not providing proximity voltage.
Proximity line in charge cable has no voltage present but a vehicle is connected
UMC will not allow charging while the proximity line is broken because it cannot determine if the cable is latched
UMC pilot signal is being pulled to an invalid level or pilot generation circuit failure.
Pilot signal transitioned to an invalid voltage level
UMC will not allow charging while the pilot signal is invalid
Timeout while UMC attempted to read smart adapter temperature.
UMC was unable to read smart adapter temperature after several retries
UMC will only report 8 A charge current capability until the smart adapter temperature can be determined
UMC GFCI self test failed.
GFCI self test failed
UMC will not charge until the self test passes. UMC will retest automatically after 15 minutes (except EU smart adapters) or charge cable cycle
UMC AC input voltage exceeded upper limit.
UMC input voltage has risen above 300 V RMS
UMC will not allow charging until AC input voltage is within 90-300 V RMS
UMC ground leakage current exceeded threshold.
A ground fault current exceeding detection threshold was detected
UMC will not charge until the ground fault is corrected. UMC will retest after 15 minutes (except when an EU smart adapters) or charge cable cycle
UMC AC input voltage is below lower limit.
UMC AC input voltage has fallen below 90 V RMS
UMC will not allow charging until AC input voltage is within 90-300 V RMS

UMC_w011_proxDisconnected
-
UMC detected contactor stuck open or closed.
UMC contactor is open when it should be closed (non-EU smart adapter) or closed when it should be open for several seconds
UMC will not allow charging if the contactor is stuck in an unexpected state. Charge handle pins may be live and hazardous. Stuck open (non-hazardous) contactors will not trigger this fault with EU smart adapters.
UMC AC input side ground impedance exceeded threshold.
UMC AC input side ground impedance is above 1 Mohm
UMC will not allow charging until the protective earth connection is corrected
UMC_w012_pilotFault
-
UMC read smart adapter genealogy data and CRC check failed.
UMC smart adapter genealogy was read but the data failed an integrity check
UMC will only report 8 A charge current capability until smart adapter genealogy can be read and passes an integrity check
Infotainment GPU operation timed out.
GPU driver reports a fence timeout
Touchscreen or UI may not be responsive
UMC PCB temperature exceeded threshold.
UMC PCB temperature exceeded 100 C
UMC will not allow charging until the PCB cools off sufficiently
The User Interface (UI) detects the command to go to sleep was cancelled.
The Gateway (GTW) sets the signal GTW_ethGoToSleep=0 after the UI has began preparing for or entering sleep. Alert log signal data should provide more information on the specific condition(s) detected.
The UI may appear to be unresponsive while aborting the sleep attempt.
