VCRIGHT_a586_doorRemoteUnlatchFailedRear
Description
After receiving a remote unlatch request, the vehicle controller attempted to release the latch for the rear right door, but the latch did not transition to the ajar (secondary) or open position. May be caused by an obstruction, such as ice, preventing the door from fully opening.
Condition
A remote unlatch was attempted, but the latch did not transition to the ajar (secondary) or open position by the end of the latch actuation.
Clear Condition
A new electronic release request is triggered from the exterior handle, interior button, or mobile app for the rear right door.
Potential Impact
Although the rear right door may appear to be physically closed, the latch may not be securing the door in the closed (primary) position. If the obstruction is removed, the door may move to the ajar (secondary) or open position. The door will be treated as open by most other electronic control units (ECUs) in the vehicle.
