VCRIGHT_a585_doorRemoteUnlatchFailedFront

Front right door failed to open via Mobile App

What does the VCRIGHT_a585_doorRemoteUnlatchFailedFront alert mean?

After receiving a remote unlatch request, the vehicle controller attempted to release the latch for the front right door, but the latch did not transition to the ajar (secondary) or open position. May be caused by an obstruction, such as ice, preventing the door from fully opening.

What you'll see in your Tesla

  • Front right door failed to open via Mobile App
  • Door may be insecure until opened and closed

What triggers it

A remote unlatch was attempted, but the latch did not transition to the ajar (secondary) or open position by the end of the latch actuation.

When it clears

A new electronic release request is triggered from the exterior handle, interior button, or mobile app for the front right door.

Potential impact

Although the front right door may appear to be physically closed, the latch may not be securing the door in the closed (primary) position. If the obstruction is removed, the door may move to the ajar (secondary) or open position. The door will be treated as open by most other electronic control units (ECUs) in the vehicle.
