VCLEFT_a370_noLVSupportSocTooLow
Description
The high voltage (HV) battery state of charge (SOC) is not sufficient to complete a low voltage (LV) battery recharge cycle. The LV battery may become completely discharged, and the vehicle electrical system may have inadequate support.
Condition
The LV battery needs to be recharged, but the high voltage battery management system (BMS) reports the HV battery does not have sufficient SOC (enough energy) to charge (support) the LV battery.
Clear Condition
The HV BMS reports that the HV battery has sufficient SOC (enough energy) to charge (support) the LV battery.
Potential Impact
The LV battery may become completely discharged and unrecoverable, requiring replacement. It may be necessary to shed some vehicle electrical loads by cutting power to less essential electronic control units (ECUs), with another alert present to indicate that condition. Vehicle may be unable to drive or continue driving, with another alert present to indicate that condition.
