What triggers it

The IDB detects a condition that precludes SCM function. This alert may be accompanied by causal hardware alerts (MicroController Unit [MCU], ASIC, solenoid valve, pump, wheel speed sensor, hydraulics) or signal alerts (Intertial Measurement Unit [IMU] measurement, SCM interface signals).

When it clears

The Integrated Dynamic Brake (IDB) detects that any conditions precluding SCM function are no longer present while the vehicle is parked.

Potential impact

The IDB may not automatically bring the vehicle to a stop in case a collision is detected by the Restraint Control Module (RCM).
