What you'll see in your Tesla
- Not Available
What triggers it
The IDB detects a condition that precludes hydraulic fade compensation function. This alert may be accompanied by causal hardware alerts (MicroController Unit [MCU], ASIC, solenoid valve, pump, wheel speed sensor, hydraulics) or signal alerts (Intertial Measurement Unit [IMU] measurement).
When it clears
The Integrated Dynamic Brake (IDB) detects that any conditions precluding fade compensation function are no longer present while the vehicle is parked.
Potential impact
The IDB may not increase brake torque to mitigate brake fade. Heavy braking should be avoided. Increased braking effort may be necessary to achieve desired deceleration when brake temperatures are high. The vehicle should be driven with extreme caution.
