What triggers it
The IDB detects a condition that precludes panic brake assist function. This alert may be accompanied by causal hardware alerts (MicroController Unit [MCU], ASIC, solenoid valve, pump, wheel speed sensor, hydraulics) or signal alerts (Intertial Measurement Unit [IMU] measurement).
When it clears
The Integrated Dynamic Brake (IDB) detects that any conditions precluding panic brake assist function are no longer present while the vehicle is parked.
Potential impact
The IDB may not increase brake torque above the current request in response to fast brake pedal inputs. The brake pedal must be pressed firmly and continuously to stop during emergency braking. The vehicle should be driven with extreme caution.
