IDB_a050_absFaulted

ABS (anti-lock braking system) disabled

What does the IDB_a050_absFaulted alert mean?

Anti-lock Brake System (ABS) control may be unavailable.

What you'll see in your Tesla

  • ABS (anti-lock braking system) disabled
  • Drive with caution

What triggers it

The IDB detects a condition that precludes ABS function. This alert may be accompanied by causal hardware alerts (MicroController Unit [MCU], ASIC, solenoid valve, pump, wheel speed sensor, hydraulics) or signal alerts (Intertial Measurement Unit [IMU] measurement).

When it clears

The Integrated Dynamic Brake (IDB) detects that any conditions precluding ABS function are no longer present while the vehicle is parked.

Potential impact

The IDB may not modulate brake torque to mitigate wheel lock. The vehicle should be driven with extreme caution.
