ABS (anti-lock braking system) disabled

What does the ESP_a353_PressureSensorImplausHigh alert mean?

PressureSensorImplausHigh The pressure sensor shows an unexpected high signal even the plunger is in rest position. A root cause can be a sensor internal failure e.g. short-circuit of inputs of measurement cell.

What you'll see in your Tesla

  • ABS (anti-lock braking system) disabled
  • Drive with caution

What triggers it

The pressure sensor shows an unexpected high signal even the plunger is in rest position. A root cause can be a sensor internal condition affecting its operation (e.g. short-circuit of inputs of measurement cell. Monitoring is active if the plunger is in rest position and no hydraulic activation is triggered.)

When it clears

The plunger is in the rest position with no hydraulic activation AND pressure signal is below the default threshold of 50 bar over a designated time period.

Potential impact

Vehicle Dynamic Control (VDC) / Traction Control (TC) will be unavailable. Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS) will be limited.
