What does the DPB_a017_largeLeakageDetected alert mean?

Large Leakage can be caused by internal or external loss of brake fluid.

What triggers it

Plunger is not possible to build up necessary pressure in brake system. Caused by: Significant loss of brake fluid - external (broken brake pipe) or internal (seal or valve defect). Large Leakage alert is assumed if the pressure sensor shows significant lower values than expected at maximum possible plunger position.

When it clears

First ensure that DPB ECU has fallen asleep. Execute the start of a new OtherCycle. Wait for at least 10 s without exerting any brake intervention (i.e. no apply of the brake pedal, hand brake, APB, value added function or similar).Good Check is performed, in case of STSpct is successfully performed.

Potential impact

System will request Hydraulic Boost Compensation when driver pressed the brake pedal.
