What does the DPB_a013_softPedalChar alert mean?

Pressure sensor value too low for current Pedal Travel Sensor value.

What triggers it

The pressure sensor value is too low, the Pedal Travel Sensor value is too high, there is air in the hydaulic circuit, or there is a leak in the hydraulic circuit. A Brake Signal Monitoring (BSM) soft pedal characteristic alert occurs if the current pressure sensor value is too low for the current pedal travel sensor value.

When it clears

Good Check is performed, if pressure value is above issue detection limit for corresponding Pedal Travel sensor value and issue detection limit is > 0 bar.

Potential impact

System will be running with internal degraded pedal map. Braking may require increased effort.
