The DI ECU detects that vehicle speed exceeded 135mph (215km/h), or 145mph (230km/h) for performance vehicles, for more than 1 minute.
When it clears
The DI ECU detects that speed falls below the threshold and the motor stator temperature falls below a certain level.
Potential impact
After 1 minute above the upper speed threshold, the DI ECU slows the vehicle down to the threshold speed.
