What does the DI_a016_parkRequestByPM alert mean?

The pedal monitor (PM) requests that the drive interface (DI) electronic control unit (ECU) shift into a non-torque gear (Park or Neutral) at a low speed.

  • Shift into D or R to drive

What triggers it

The DI ECU receives a shift request from the PM when vehicle speed is below 1 mph (1.6 km/h).

When it clears

The DI ECU exits Park, 5 seconds elapse in Park, or the accelerator pedal is pressed.

Potential impact

The DI ECU shifts to Park without user request.
