What triggers it

The Autopilot electronic control unit (ECU) receives signals indicating that the vehicle was centered in the lane but is now departing the lane without activating the turn indicator.

When it clears

This alert will clear automatically 1 second after a Lane Support Systems (LSS) feature is activated.

Potential impact

The vehicle will adjust its steering to keep the vehicle in its lane. Depending on the driver's settings, there may also be a chime, steering wheel vibration, or notification in the User Interface (UI) when a Lane Support Systems (LSS) feature is activated.
